Secrets of the Pros: Making Money from Web Surveys

Have you considered taking advantage of the opportunities available online to make extra money? Chances are, you have. Also, chances are you haven’t tried it out yet because you’re not sure how legitimate getting paid for completing surveys is—and besides, even if it is legitimate, how do go about doing it? Though there are paid sites that aren’t trustworthy, many are. And because reliable paid sites do exist, there are people who have learned strategies of how to best take advantage of the moneymaking possibilities that those sites make available. Those strategies don’t have to be secrets, though—in fact, it just takes time and trial and error to find them out yourself. For your advantage, we have saved you the time by creating a list of some of the most important strategies and tips, so if you’re interested in making extra money from the comfort of your home, read on!

Great expectations
Before you start the process, understand that completing paid surveys will not earn you enough cash to pack up and move to that villa in Italy that you’ve been wishing for, nor will it allow you to quit your day job and retire early. But what it will do is give you an extra paycheck. With that extra money, you can go shopping more often, save up and hit the road for a weekend trip, or purchase that 36” flat screen sooner than you expected. In other words, it’s important that you don’t go into this expecting way more than what is actually possible. For a ballpark figure, expect no more than $200 for your first month.

Getting to know all about you
Before you can earn that first dollar, it’s essential that you complete as many profile surveys as possible. Though these don’t pay, they will help to get noticed by the sites that assign surveys to applicants. What information am I talking about, though? An integral part of this process is matching up surveys with applicants based on the profiles of the applicants. For example, if a survey asks questions all about automobiles, it should be assigned to a survey taker who has knowledge on the subject; that way, the survey will completed by a person who can give the most informative answers. So the more information that they have on you (likes, dislikes, interests, hobbies, age, sex, job expertise, etc.), the more accurately the sites can assign you surveys. Because the sites are aiming for accuracy, you are then assured more paid surveys based on the profile surveys you have already completed.

Take them, and take them often
Once surveys begin to fill your inbox, it’s best to take as many as you possibly can. You won’t have to keep this up for too long, though, because the more you take the more you’ll be sent. The idea is to show the survey sites that you are a dedicated survey taker. After they see that, you are sure to be sent as many surveys as you would ever want/need. Once that happens, you can be pickier concerning which surveys you would like to complete, and which ones you would rather skip over. But when starting out, picky doesn’t pay!

No tricks—they’ll know
After a few days of survey taking, you may start to wonder if you can save time by answering the questions willy-nilly. But be warned: the survey sites are already one step ahead of you, and they have ways of figuring out who is honestly answering questions and who isn’t. If they catch you breezing through surveys by randomly checking boxes, you’ll be blackballed from all of the good surveys.

When you have the choice, go with cash
Finally, you’re doing this because you want the money. Don’t go for the sites that pay in points or “rewards,” go for the money every time!
